Abstract

Records consisting of memoranda, correspondence, election returns, and lists. This series contains all records relating to the Militia which were not addressed to the Governor, who served as Commander-in-Chief of the Militia. Included are resignations, orders, and returns of strength. Most of the records are routine in nature, but a few discuss Indian movements. A number of letters are addressed to Col. Reuben Saffold.
